The Best Safari! We had an 11 day safari with Marco Polo safaris and it was the best experience. I enquired with many companies before travelling and Marco was great at replying and giving advice on the best way to do such a long safari which included an internal flight and a hot air balloon trip. There is always a worry about making payments in advance but that's where trust is essential and I would not hesitate to use Marco again or to recommend him and his company to anyone. He even booked and arranged our hotel at Diani beach which saved us time and effort.

We had 2 drivers for our Safari. Michaeal Kimeu took us on the first half and he was just the best. Michael was a careful and considerate driver, had a great, genuine personality and did everything he could to get us to see the animals. Boniface (Bonnie) was our second driver and he was equally good. He took us to all the beautiful spots and managed to get us to see some amazing sites of lions straight after a kill (not for the faint hearted!).

As I said before, I would definitely recommend Marco Polo safaris and I hope you get to see all of the things we saw plus more.

Unforgettable Two‑Day Safari with an Amazing Guide We recently went on a two‑day safari (Tsavo East & Taita Hills) and we can’t recommend it enough.

Communication & Organization
Everything worked perfectly from the very beginning. Communication with Marco via WhatsApp was fast, clear, and reliable. We felt we were in good hands even before the trip started.

Our Guide – Bonface
He was punctual, very pleasant, and never intrusive. He didn’t promise anything in advance (it was the beginning of the rainy season), but he tried all the harder. His calm and professional approach was exactly what we hoped for.

Wildlife Experiences
We were told we were very lucky to see a complete lion family – “papa lion”, “mama lion”, and four cubs. That was the absolute highlight of our trip. Besides them, we saw elephants, giraffes, an ostrich family, and even a shy cheetah. Even though the rains had already made everything green and full of water (so there were almost no animals at the Salt Lick waterholes), Bonface still managed to find them out in the bush.

Accommodation – Salt Lick Safari Lodge
The lodge is architecturally unique and beautiful. At this time of year (plenty of water in the bush), the waterhole effect is smaller and the hotel was quite busy during meal times, but it’s still absolutely worth visiting.

A once-in-a-lifetime experience We booked a 2-day safari to Tsavo East with Marco Polo Tours, and it was an absolutely amazing adventure! We saw elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, different kinds of antelopes, monkeys, and many beautiful birds. Experiencing all these animals in their natural habitat was truly breathtaking.
