Unforgettable Two‑Day Safari with an Amazing Guide We recently went on a two‑day safari (Tsavo East & Taita Hills) and we can’t recommend it enough.

Communication & Organization
Everything worked perfectly from the very beginning. Communication with Marco via WhatsApp was fast, clear, and reliable. We felt we were in good hands even before the trip started.

Our Guide – Bonface
He was punctual, very pleasant, and never intrusive. He didn’t promise anything in advance (it was the beginning of the rainy season), but he tried all the harder. His calm and professional approach was exactly what we hoped for.

Wildlife Experiences
We were told we were very lucky to see a complete lion family – “papa lion”, “mama lion”, and four cubs. That was the absolute highlight of our trip. Besides them, we saw elephants, giraffes, an ostrich family, and even a shy cheetah. Even though the rains had already made everything green and full of water (so there were almost no animals at the Salt Lick waterholes), Bonface still managed to find them out in the bush.

Accommodation – Salt Lick Safari Lodge
The lodge is architecturally unique and beautiful. At this time of year (plenty of water in the bush), the waterhole effect is smaller and the hotel was quite busy during meal times, but it’s still absolutely worth visiting.

Great safari with knowledgable guide This was originally a booking to travel in 2020 and had to be postponed due to Covid. Rising cost of airfares and airline cancellations meant I had to make several changes. Marco Polo were very prompt in responding and flexible which was so helpful. The safari itself was amazing. We saw elephants, zebras, gazelles, giraffes, hippos, monkeys, lions, buffalo, crocodiles, warthogs and more. Our guide was informative with 20 years of experience under his belt. Both accommodations were good, clean, offered good food and viewing areas for the wildlife. We stayed at Sentrim Tsavo Camp and Kilaguni Serena Lodge. Kilaguni was definitely my favourite out of the 2. We had the best view at breakfast watching the animals. It was unforgettable! The jeep was in good condition and I wouldn't hesitate to book with Marco Polo again. We enjoyed Tsavo East and West this time. I'd love to go back and see Maasai Mara next time. Masai Mara safari with Marco Polo Safaris was amazing experience Amazing experience! Flying over the wildgrass in Masai Mara Reserve is unforgettable. Marco recommended us beautiful camp- Oloshaika Camp. Although, it may not be as popular as Mara Engai, it was all worth it, wonderful interior and friendly staff, that made our stay even more pleasant. Highly recommend Marco Polo Safaris. Check it out if you are near Mwabungu, its office is opposite Neptune Hotels.

Safari in Kenya We had and amazing time. The organization and comunication with the tour organizer was easy and fluent. The accommodations were nice as expexted. Our driver, Abdul, was very attentive, puntual and flexible with the plans and stops. We would recommend it!

This 12 days tour in July/August 2023 was the first tour in Kenia. The travel agency Marco Polo was a great help with the preparation, visa formalities and further planning.
